First Impressions (2014) — wood, plexiglass, programmed LED lights.
Dimensions: 4 x 4 x 4 ft
First Impressions is a 3-dimensional cartographic reinterpretation of the physicality and societal constructs of the world. The sculpture on top of the plexiglass is modular and can be repositioned at will by the audience.
The LED lights emit different colors cycling at different speeds depending on the audience’s position in the room, hence changing the spectator’s perception as well as the piece itself.
